radiofrequency ablation

Has anyone had RFA? What was your experience? In my latest round of chemo, the pelvic tumors seem to be responding but the spot on my lungs is continuing to grow.

So now RFA has been suggested and I would be grateful to hear anyone's experiences with it.

Also, this time, I am feeling a lot of fatigue with Neulasta. Last time I did not. Anyone have that side effect?

Thanks sisters.

Re: radiofrequency ablation

Hi there, I have heard about RFA for liver cancers that are just one lesion.
Are you done with chemo now?
I was told by an oncologist that the neulasta effect changes as you get further along in chemo, because your bone marrow does not respond as much to it later on.
Are you drinking lots of fluids? Have you had blood work lately, could it be that your hemoglobin is down because of the chemo?
Hugs to you, such a lousy situation to be in. I wish the very best for you with these treatments

Re: radiofrequency ablation

Oh (((Sweetie,)))

I am sorry you are in this situation and hope someone whose been in a similar situation comes along with some info on RFA. I am sure you have looked up RFA on the Internet so I will not do the same.

I will be keeping you and your doctors in prayer including to chose the best curative treatment for you.

Re: radiofrequency ablation

Hi Healing hope
Please let us know how the radio frequency ablation goes, it sounds like a very new treatment that is an alternative to surgery for distant mets.
Since this field is changing all the time, this could be a very significant treatment
