Depo Provera Injection

My Dr. wants me to do the depo provera injections hoping to stop my periods. I have been on it for 90 days and just started another 3 months. So far it hasn't stopped them and I am still having the chronic pelvic pain. If this doesn't work, the next option is a hysterectomy. Has anyone used this drug and has it helped them? I don't know how much longer I can put up with the pain. Help.

Depo Provera Injection

Hi marel Everyone's experiences with depo are different. I used it for birth control for three years; after the second shot, my periods stopped and stayed stopped the whole time

Depo Provera Injection

I had two shots and bled pretty much the whole time. Some days were lighter than others, but I remember a period of about only two weeks where it totally stopped. The whole experience was depressing. Rather than take a third shot I went on the pill and that regulated things a little better. Periods went back to super heavy as they were before the shots.
