pain in back of thigh

2 weeks post op and starting to get a pain in a muscle located in the upper portion of the back of my thigh (leading up to the butt). It gets really bad the longer I sit and can affect the way I walk. Any ideas what this could be?

Did you have a pelvic support with your surgery? My dr. called it "putting a stitch in a ligament" and the pain I had was in my rear. sounds like this might be the cause of your pain but I'd think you would have experienced this pain earlier, everyone responds differntly I've learned here. My pain finally let up about 2 wks post-op. I couldn't sit on any cushioned seat, hard chairs with a bit of padding was all I could take those first 2 weeks. Still can feel it sometimes but now is just noticeable rather than pain.

Ask your dr. I hope this helps.

Thanks much - and you are right I did have some pelvic support work done. Will check with doc as to what could be the cause or something for relief.
