I have my date!

Just scheduled for Feb 6th at 7:30am. Nervous, but excited. Ready to get on with life and not let these problems control and consume my days and nights.
Having rectocele and cystocele repairs at same time along with bladder sling. Thankful to God that I found this website and my fellow sisters to help support. Any others out there scheduled for February 6?

Re: I have my date!

Thank you both. I have started my "to do" list of things to get accomplished prior tochecking into the castle. Sounds funny to say that. Looking forward to being post-op.

Re: I have my date!

You have the same date as me! Feb. 6th. I am nervous, not really scared, trying to not think about it too much, starting the major houseclean, as well as working out to build up arm strength for the recovery. I am having a TAH leaving my ovaries.

Re: I have my date!

Hi Singmeaway,
Yes, I am not scared at this point either. I am glad I finally made decision to do this. Been dealing with problems for years. I didn't think about building up arm strength. Have been doing leg lifts and some other core exercises. May as well add some arm moves in there too. I have not been one to be extremely fit in the past. Looking at this as a way to take control of my body and make a new me

Re: I have my date!

Congrats on getting your date. It is a relief to have time to plan and prepare.

I have 7 more sleeps before my surgery and I am calm and ready to go. Exercising everyday with 30 minutes of treadmill or stationary bike, and 20 minutes of Windsor Pilates. Hoping that this will help with the recovery process. Since walking outside won't be an option for me after surgery with the crazy weather we have here in Canada, I am planning on hitting the treadmill at a very slow pace to help me out.

I am also having a TVTO done at the same time as my surgery. I will keep you in my thoughts.

This site has been amazing for support and a wealth of information.
