TAH: Swag bag for Mom - ideas?

My mother is coming for my surgery (scheduled for 6/1) and staying on for a couple weeks after. I will be in the hospital for 3 days.

I am putting together a "swag bag" for her for while I am in the hospital. So far I have:

Snacks
I-Tunes and B&N Nook gift cards
Puzzle books (i.e. Sudoku, Word Search, Crosswords)
Note Pad (she will want to write down anything the doctor tells her)
Pen/Pencil
I-Phone Charger
Hand Sanitizer
Hand Cream
Nail file
Chapstick
Gum
Tissue


Any other suggestions?

What a considerate daughter you are...honestly, what a great idea.

Your list is great and I think she will have plenty to keep her occupied.

If you were in Canada I'd suggest throwing a $10 Tim Horton's gift card in there so that Mom can get herself some coffee or tea. I don't know what your local equivalent would be, but you get the idea. :-)

A travel pillow and cover, a reusable coffee cup, and a roll of quarters to get something out of the vending machine.
