I am almost terrified...

I am 26 years old, over weight, and have DVT, PCOS, PCS, Hypertrophy of the uterus, and IC. My gyno says that my last option is when I want to have a hyst. I have an appointment to talk to another doc. next week but I'm still very scared because I am a very complicated case. DVT is deep vein thrombosis. It's basically a blood clot in a vein in the brain. I had a minor stroke because of it. I can't take birth control pills, because that's what helped cause the clot. I may have Protein S defficiency, still trying to find out, and I can never take any type of Estrogen supp. because it will kill me. The chances of something going wrong are higher for me because of my problems. Granted, mine are far better than some but it doesn't make it easier to deal with. I was told that an ablation for me would be a bad idea since my bleeding is fairly normal. It was going to be used as a pain method, however, I'm still scared. I feel so completely alone and angry. I need some advice. Please.

Sounds like you have a full plate and at such a young age!

I would highly recommend the second opinion. Make sure the GYN(s) know about each medical condition you have. Find out if there are any newer treatment options available for you.

Also talk to each and everyone of your physicians about what is occuring. Get all of their advice about surgery and how to make it the safest for you.

Feel free to look over the site and look through our Resource Database to find any information that might be helpful for you.

I wish you the best!

You certainly have a lot to deal with at a young age! My prayers are with you! Don't be afraid to ask the doctors you see to give you as much information as they can! Feel better soon!!
