Pain after vaginal cuff repair

I had my hysterectomy on September 30, 2016. I had a rather rough recovery but was told at my 8 week check up that I could return to normal activities and have intercourse. I waited till this Sunday to have intercourse and ended up having a vaginal cuff tear and had emergency surgery to have it stitched up. I have been in excruciating pain since surgery and pain up into my abdominal area mainly on the right side. Has anyone had this pain after a vaginal cufff repair?

Hi and welcome Sharee28! I'm sorry to hear that you had to have a repair to your cuff. I've read that this is similar to starting from the beginning with recovery. If your pain meds are not helping with the pain, if you have not already, you should call your doctor and they may be able to prescribe something different that will work for you.
