Friday

Ok so my surgery is set for this Friday and my nerves are shot. I cant sleep, I got a visit from Aunt Flo and Im irritable and cranky. Im impatient right now and want this over with but am scared stiff. I just needed to get this off my chest.

I was scared too. My surgery was 5-3. The nurses were really nice and the whole process was very smooth.
I have no clue now why I was so nervouse. :-)
My recovery has been uneventful and everything is on track. I hope this eases your mind.

Oh I hear ya. I just wanted it to be THE DAY for a week! Hang in there, keep getting things ready, keep busy, It will be here before you know it. I can't believe that it has been 8 weeks for me now!!!!

Hi aja - hang in there. As sgreiner says, just stay as busy as you can. Do your best to think about other things but I know that's crazy hard to do. I had surgery (LSH) yesterday, it went great, I'm home already, and everyone was so amazing....there was NOTHING to have been worried about. And just like that it's done. Everyone says the waiting is the hardest part....it's so true!

One tip- I took a night mask in and was very thankful for it. I also rented a tv and took my earbuds - I ended up leaving the tv on all night with earbuds in to drown out the incredible snoring of two of my roommates!

I had my surgery a week ago and it was smooth sailing. Nothing like I had worked it up to in my brain. I did a lot of housing cleaning and prepping as a means of staying busy and keeping my mind off the surgery.

Thanks everyone! It really does help tp have support from people that can relate. I just finished making jello for tommorows bowel prep which Im dreading. I kept myself busy for most of the day although the surgery was on my mind. Again thanks for all the support!!!
