2 weeks till surgery

I've been reading your sight and many others for weeks getting as much information as possible. I've talked to people who say it as the best thing they ever did and I know it is right for me. I have been diagnosed with uterine prolapse and cystocele (bladder ) I am having a TVH and bladder repair surgery 3-2-01 and am still wanting more information on the procedure itself. My doctor says it will be done vaginally unless it can't be once he is in there. I am having the cervix removed but not ovaries and tubes. This website has been great and I am going to buy the book, but is there any more detailed information on the procedure itself. Thanks again for this site and good luck to all who are going through this. Also I am done having kids I have 3 (2,6 & 8)

I also would love to see specifics on the surgery...my doctor gave me a pamphlet (which told me basically nothing) and talked to me about it generally, but I don't know where incisions are, how or where they attach my ovaries since I am keeping them...things like that. I did not think to ask about it at that time because I assumed it was all in the pamphlet. Anyone have a good site for that kind of info?
