More dumb questions

I am assumming that I will need a THV but there has been talk about the size of my uterus. Has anyone ever started with a THV and then because of the size had to have the TAH? Can this possibly happen? Just wondered if they ever got in there and said we have to do it the other way? Can you tell my mind is wondering?

I see the Dr. again on 4/15 and can ask these types of questions then but I love hearing from all of you experienced sisters.

This can happen. I was scheduled for an LAVH but was told I could wake up with a "smiley face" on my tummy. It didn't happen, but I was prepared for it.

Welcome to HysterSisters Any of the less-invasive surgeries could turn into the abdominal procedure, depending on what transpires in the OR. My opinion #2 had much more cutting & pasting in mind for me than doc #3.
