Surgery Was Great! Good To Be Home!

Hi everyone,
I wanted to let everyone know that surgery was terrific! The surgeon found a large fibroid on the back tip of my prolapsed retro uterus and pathology showed adeno (sp). The fibroid would have been sitting right on my colon and spine causing a lot of discomfort! I can tell already that there is less pressure in there. I am have back pain and cramping from surgery but being a good patient is taking care of this.
I am so grateful that I had the courage to take care of myself and have this done!
The surgery was weird--but just because I think being on those drugs and being wheeled into the surgery room is weird. My nurses were trainees and it took forever to get meds or help--I was allergic to the morphine pump and I threw up all night!! Yucky green fluid and lots of it. They kept saying it was a reaction to the anesthesia--but no it was the morphine and when they finally gave me something else everything got much better. But even with all of that and some other frustrating hospital stuff--I am thrilled!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, I had a tvh and kept my ovaries!
Take care and e-mail if you have any questions.
It is true what they say here--the waiting was the worst part!
Happy Camper Ingrid
