It is over and I am home

Hi Ladies,

I made it.. I was so scared, I almost left the hospaital before it all happend.. I am happy it is over and I am home now, I was so scared about the pain after, I have to say it was never that bad, I had the Dialauted (sp?) pain pump and they only real pain was transfering to the bed from the surgery bed. I had my surgery at 10:30 am and did not get into my room till 3:30pm I had the TAH/BSO I was not thinking they would have to take my ovaries so I was taken a little back by that, but we had discusses it and I knew there was the chance and she called my DH in the waiting room before she did just to make sure..
So they took out everything, she said I had stage 3 endometrosis and lots of adheasions and scar tissue.
I am scared about surgical menopause.
But I just have to say it was not as bad as I thought it would be, I know everyone said this but it is really true..
I did go to long inbetween pain meds yesterday cause my gas pain was getting bad and I was scared to take the pain meds to make me more consitpated but I leared a lesson... Take your meds... I am still having some gas issues but I did have a small BM this evening Yeah..
I am just resting and trying to walk a lot..

Thank for all the help and support along the way...

Congrats on making it home safely! I still have my ovaries, but they eventually will probably shut down, and then I will have to deal with the hormone issues, whatever they may be. I am a firm believer in taking things as they come. Rest now and see what tomorrow brings.
