TSH 9/05 now need cervix removed...what happens w/ "climax"
I have a couple of questions but I will just start with this one. I am still having pain during sex and bleeding off / on through the month. the DR thinks it's endometrial tissue on back of cervix, possibly on ovaries, retum & bowels.... I heard removing the cervix can cause a problem with having an orgasm....am I right? Anything is better than now, I have pain in all different positions...Let me know what you know.

TSH 9/05 now need cervix removed...what happens w/ "climax"
There is a difference in opinion on the subject of sex and the cervix. For me, not having a cervix for almost 6 years has not affected my life in any way, including my sex life. One of the reasons my cervix was removed is because endo can grow there. Did you have endo prior to your hyst and this is what has spread throughout your pelvic region?

yes, I have had endo since I was 18 and told I could not conceive but I had 3 kids. Dr suspects endo is all over or adhesions... but pain is not all the time but when it comes it's terrible. Everywhere from sexually to abdominal pain to rectal... I am ready to be pain free.
thank for your insight.

Are you able to see an endometriosis specialist?
My hsyt was almost 6 yrs ago for endo and I am not pain free. I still have endo on my bowel walls (it was too risky to remove) and my dr thinks there are also adhesions and scar tissue. I kept my ovaries so they are feeding the endo on my bowel walls and any of the microscopic stuff that was undetected and thus not removed.
I do hope you are able to find a solution to your situation. in there and many s to you!

TSH 9/05 now need cervix removed...what happens w/ "climax"
I had a TAH - took out my diseased cervix, thank goodness! - I am not cleared for intercourse yet (8 weeks, not healing quickly) but was cleared for "outercourse." It was always hard for me to have the big "O" but when dh and I tried outercourse a few days ago, I actually had one! And it didn't take forever either! I hear it's different for everyone, but for me I think I'll have a much better experience now. I wonder if my diseased cervix and other medical problems had something to do with the fact I had probably less than 10 orgasms in my life? (Hopefully not TMI!) Anyway, just wanted to let you know that removal of your cervix doesn't necessarily mean you won't be able to function normally. Good luck with everything!

TSH 9/05 now need cervix removed...what happens w/ "climax"
Hi Nicole!
A very recent scientific study shows that losing their cervix does not make a bit of difference sexually for most women. To read more about it, follow the link provided here:

TSH 9/05 now need cervix removed...what happens w/ "climax"
I was worried about orgasms feeling 'different' after the hysterectomy, but I'm happy to say that they're still quite nice. If you think about it, most women experience climax through clitoris stimulation, and that's not being changed with the surgery. Best of luck.

TSH 9/05 now need cervix removed...what happens w/ "climax"
I had a lot of pain with intercourse also but I have found now w/o my cervix that with intercourse my orgasms are stronger because I am not so tense while having sex. I am more relaxed and into it so I am enjoying it more. This is just me though everybody is different.
