Sched 05/14 DaVinci

Does anyone have any experience with the DaVinci procedure? I will have mine Friday....total most probably. During my visit, my physician mentioned a shot that would help me both with the changes post op and reversing some of the depo left in my system. Does anyone have any idea what this shot might be? I'm nervous but excited I want to feel better.........I'm so glad I finally found a Dr. that is kind, understanding and experienced in cases like mine...it makes all the difference in the world!!

BlesseddGreen -

I had the daVinci procedure but haven't had any of the depo shots so can't help you with that.

Make sure you add your surgery date to your profile so that you can utilize the Post-Op forums after your surgery.

Also check out the Hysterectomy Checkpoints.

Re: Sched 05/14 DaVinci

I don't know about the shot. I am assuming it must be a hormonal thing. I sis have the da Vinci but they were able to save one of my ovaries. I had very little pain from the surgery. Mostly aches and cramps. Not even close to as bad as a period.

Re: Sched 05/14 DaVinci

I also had the da vinci 5 weeks ago but do not know about the shot you will be getting as I was able to keep both ovaries. I was released from the hospital the next morning feeling better than I expected and was so relieved to have no more bleeding (not a drop since the surgery). You've mentioned that you have a great physician so place a call to the office and find out just what the shot will be. I'm sure they can tell you what it will be and answer any other last minute questions you might have to put your mind at ease before Friday. Best wishes to you! Hope you are feeling better soon.
