The castle list for DH

I always make lists, and I even made one for DH for todays casle stay. A friend suggested I share it with you ladies. So here is what my list says:

Things to set up in the room for my arrival:
1. Pillows on the bed (MINE!)
2. Hyster pillow ready and on the bed
3. Brush, hair bands, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrush all need to be put i tray of table.
4. Bag of candy set out for the nurses to enjoy. (make sure to tell them)
5. Hyster Books on Table (include journal in bag with gown)
6. House shoes & house coat laid out for me to use
7. Place suitcase someplace where I can get into it without having to bend over

8. No sit down and relax, I will arrive shortly.

Thank you and I love you!

Now don't forget to make the calls!

There it is, hope you enjoyed it!

The castle list for DH

Great list! But one thing comes to mind, most likely you'll be wheeled in on the bed you're going to keep in your room. So laying out your things on the bed might not be a good idea. That's what they did with me earlier this month, wheeled me from the OR to recovery to my room, all in the same bed.

Good luck with your surgery!!

The castle list for DH

They did the same for me - wheeled me on my recovery bed into my room & then helped me slid onto my bed. My husband had my pillow ready.

It's a great list - I should have told my DH to put my bag closer to me so I wouldn't have to get out of bed or ask someone for things. Oh well.

I was happy I had my own pillow and that was about it - I stayed in bed, anti-social for the first day - hardly spoke to my husband becuase I was in and out of sleep the whole time.

I didn't bother with hairbrush (at that point I could care less how I looked), the nurse brought me a toothbrush/paste to use, and I never opened a book or anything else while I was there.

welcome home, princess!

ltlbusy,

are you home from the castle yet? you must be being a very good princess and getting plenty of rest, since we haven't heard from you yet.

i hope your visit was painfree, successful, and everyone is waiting on your highness' every wish and command.
