Lapro report-ors;adhesyolisis-vag hyst etc

Spoke to my gyno yesterday;results of look and see:laparoscopic assisted vaginal hyst;adhesyolisis,and for the 2nd time i will be having my ovaries removed again!my small bowel is kinked,and the sigmound colon is adhered to my pelvic wall,i am full of adhesions,and have definitely regrown both ovaries.I am also scheduled for a ct scan on my stomach,liver,pancreas,spleen area mar 3.my left side is a mess.she wants to do it laproscopically and will be assisted by another surgeon. i don't know if i post in the right forum as there are too many things going on.she also said that if not able to and as the last resort she will go abdominally complete hyst and clean me up.apparently when i bled out internally 2002 for left ovary removal,it has attributed to all my problems.no wonder i am so swollen and in pain.i am worried now about the ct scan results as i am swollen there and have a bit of a time breathing sitting up for long periods. well i am ready to get it all over with and the sooner the better. thanks for a great site.

I really think you need to see a different doctor. I'm pretty sure you can't "regrow" your ovaries. Something is very wrong here! Please get a second opinion.

Joey- It sounds like you have alot of stuff going on in there! I hope that your CT doesn't add anything else to the game. Best of luck to you. I hope that the surgery brings an end to your pain.

Hoffdna- Although it doesn't always happen, you can regrow your ovaries. It is called Ovarian Remnant Syndrome or ORS. It is when a small part of the ovary or even just the ovary cells are left and they will regrow.

hoffdna; i could hardly believe ovaries could grow back but apparently they do; i had to do research on ovarian remnant syndrome and there is not a lot of info on it.

Joey- The doctor used a barrier spray this time that is supposed to keep the adhesions from coming back as bad. Just had it done so I don't know if its working but I sure hope so.
