One month post hysterectomy: Did I overdo it?

I am just over a month out from my laproscopic hysterectomy. Today I did the laundry like normal, that is, my husband carried the baskets to the laundry room. But once the sheets were done I thought I could just put them on the bed by myself rather than calling my husband again. One corner is a bit hard to get to but I felt fine and just stretched a little. Now I have a soreness and an ache on my right side south of the incision site. How do I know if I did something bad? Could this be just a little stretching pain?

Re: Did I overdue it?

It's unlikely that you did any damage and it's just sore from some pulling. Ice might be helpful although I prefer heat in the winter weather. Rest up and it'll feel better soon.

Re: Did I overdue it?

I did the same thing... Hate being in bed! But I rested for a few days after that- I guess you could say I learned my lesson- now I'm taking it easier. It's probably just the way our muscles work... Which we've always taken for granted! Good luck!
