question about baths

I am 6 months post op and three times in the last 2 months, about an hour after a bath I have a "discharge" of what I think is water. It is quite a bit of fluid, enought to completely soak my underwear and go through my jeans. It looks like I sat on a rain soaked chair! I had a TVH. Is this normal? Will it stop?

question about baths

Hi kimisue

I had similar gushing but it was within 2 weeks of my surgery - I had a seroma which flushed through my vaginal cuff. At this point post-op, I think it would a good idea to let your doctor know what's been happening. He may have some insight into what's going on.

Best wishes and s

question about baths

Do talk to your dr, but...here is my experience. Every since my hyst, this has happened to me. I am used to it now. Sometimes after I soak in the tub, within a few minutes of standing up, the water that was able to enter my vagina, gushes out, sometimes with no warning. There are times when it takes several minutes, but usually it is fairly quickly. I am over 5 yrs post op, and this still happens for me. I have learned to stay close to the bathroom until the water drains out. Over the years, I have less water that needs to "escape" and it happens less frequently. I have a friend who also experiences this, even without having a hyst. She questioned our dr about it (we have the same GYN) and he said some women have this, so I have never questioned him about the whys or how comes so I can't give you any medical jargon about it!
