super emotional but still have my ovaries

I'm one week from having everything out except ovaries. But I'm an emotional wreck. Not about not having babies but just crying and weepy all the time. I also keep having hot and cold sweats and feel in a daze. Has anyone else with their ovaries had this? No medication either.

Yes, same thing here. The ovaries are sort of sleeping is what I have heard. I hope mine wake up soon!

Mine are waking up finally. I'm 8 weeks out. The hot flashes were the worst for me. My son and boyfriend say the irritability was worse though. My dr said it could take months for the ovaries to work correctly after a hysterectomy.

I wish my doc told me about this. I feel like I'm on mars

Same for me. Crying for no reason my husband just hugs and says its okay baby. He is so wonderful i am definitly blessed in that area . My face only has been getting hot even my eyes. I take my temp and its normal guess mine are snoozing too. So glad this site is there for us! Couldnt do it without yougirls.

I feel horrible today of all days! I am angry, can't get cooler and then I am freezing, irritated at everything (I threw the remote at the couch!), and then cry. Its going in circles today. I hope we all get relief.

My ovaries are in surgical shock. Mood swings are so bad that I got on Premarin until they wake up (and hopefully they do). I hope Premarin doesn't cause more problems, and I only need it for 6 weeks. Anyone have any insight?

I am having the same problem. I find myself feeling really irritable, and I tear up easily. I cried twice at the hospital in front of strangers, not my proudest moments. I have these horrible night sweats and cold flashes where I am freezing and I shake. Does anyone know how long this is supposed to last?
