5 days post hysterectomy LAVH/BSO - how long is recovery?

I wanted to hear from other sisters who had LAVH w/ BSO and how their recovery went. How long were you in pain? When did you start feeling normal? How long were you off of work? Just wondering what to kind of expect Thanks ladies!

I am a week and a day out from that exact same procedure. I've been off my painkillers since day 3, and barely take any OTC meds right now. It's more discomfort than anything at this point. I'm heading back to work on light duty on Monday the 5th. The best thing to do to help with your recovery is to walk. Walk as much as you can tolerate, and bump that up each day if you can. That's helped me feel relatively normal through all this week. I hope you feel better soon
