Bladder Spasms continue now Urine is cloudy????

Do I have a UTI? I've been having bladder spasms since having surgery, but now my urine has turned cloudy-ish. There's no burning pain like every other UTI I've had and the urine isn't foul smelling like every other UTI I've had, but it is DEFINITELY cloudy. Normal? Is it from meds (still taking something later in the day, just about once a day though). Have I just never noticed this before now and it's the norm or have I got myself a problem?????

hmmm.. I'm not sure but it's worth a call to the dr, don't you think? just to be sure.
I have a dumb question...what do the spasms feel like? The dr told me I might have them and the past few nights I've felt this weird feeling--sort of fluttering and now that you mention it, some cloudiness as well.

I would call if I were you just to be sure.

If your urine is cloudy, something isn't right. I'm betting you do have a UTI. Call your doctor and go get a urinalysis ASAP.

If it's cloudy, go see the doctor. Best not to take risks.

Bladder Spasms continue now Urine is cloudy???? Update

I'm going to give my dr a call tomorrow as my urine gets more and more cloudy. Though I don't have the normal burning while voiding that I normally get with a UTI, the bladdar spasms are getting worse and the cloudy urine...something can't be right.

Hi Sisters....
I had my hysto in Feb and "Bertha" (my bladder) has been in a some sort of a spasm or other, get the UA and if possible, get what is called UTA, it makes your urine BLUE...(seriously, it makes your urine a nice blue color, but it helps with the spasms,) during our surgeries, most of us had catheders, and they cause discomfort for our uretheras and bladders, and at times, causes infection, so get the UA done, and if possible, get the UTA, it relaxes the bladder. If your Doc doesn't like the color blue, there is always the old stand by peridum (I spell terribly) that makes it a nice RUST color. But, the most important thing: HYDRATE.
I have IC and I know spasms can be a pain in the neck! (Bladder neck...nuck-nuck-nuck) and when you are trying to heal from a hysto, it can be scary if they get real intense and you think that you have done something wrong (like picked a feather up or something that pulled a stitch) I am send you a and hopefully you will be seeing blue soon!!!!

Warmest thoughts,
Sabrina

Bladder Spasms continue now Urine is cloudy???? Update

I just talked w/ my doctors office and the nurse seems to think that I need to push liquids more. That I'm not drinking enough, which is causing the cloudy urine. Really? I have a drink in my hand all the time, literally from the time I get up to the time I go to bed. I find it hard to believe I'm not drinking enough. At any rate they've left a message for my doctor about it.

1dayatatime,
I know this sounds silly, but, caffeine also causes your bladder to spasm, so make sure that you are drinking lots of water, that is the first thing my Doc always asks me, (and it's so funny cos I have not had caffeine in 2 years) but water truly is a gift!
best of luck!
Sabrina
