The calender is making my heart drop to my toes !

I know this sounds silly, but I thought I had everything under control. Yet, everytime I look at my calender my heart drops to my toes and I feel terribly depressed
It is only 1 week until my pre-op appointment.
Am I going crazy ?

Nope, you're not going crazy. Just normal pre-surgical jitters. I'm sure you've seen it here before, but waiting is the worst part.

I'm about 3 weeks older than you are (my birthday is June 30th) and I had my hyst March 26th. I feel like a new woman. I have my life back, I'm not worried about when my period is going to start, how heavy it's going to be, or how it's going to last. I'm not sick all the time, because I'm not anemic anymore. And the best part is I started feeling better even before I came home from the castle. I was practically in tears the last few days before my surgery if anyone made the mistake of asking how I was doing, but once the surgery was over, I wondered why I had put it off so long.

Take a deep breath, and get all the rest you can. Pretty soon you'll have it all behind you and you can look forward to living the rest of your life!

Hi Star,

I went for an appointment on 6/3 --- at that time I expected the date to be 6/26. The appointment scheduler then met with me and it was set for 6/19, a week sooner! I almost freaked! I was faced with losing a week!

I've now had a chance to take deep breaths and determine that the important things will get done, and what doesn't can wait. I cleaned like a mad woman on Sunday (had to drive 400 miles RT to see my nephew graduate high school, but that was important) and am trying to check things off my lists day by day.

Take some deep breaths, do what you can and know that life will be so much better when all this is over!
