TLH: Surgery Fri - Preop appt today

Hi,

I had my pre-op appt today and man do I feel a WHOLE lot better after being able to sit and talk to the doctor. I've been able to email her with questions and this forum has been awesome...but having my husband there, talking and getting answers together was very comforting.

She did give me a script for xanax (sp) since I've been "anxious" the past couple of days.....and my husband will be gone the day/night before I go in for surgery.

Seh mentioned that I have NUMEROUS fibroids which sort of surprised me...I thought I only had a couple...she said I only have a couple BAD/painful ones! ha!!

Anyway, just thought I'd post and let you all know.....

That is great! It's such a relief to have that peace of mind right before surgery.

All the best on Friday. It is a big decision and if you are confident in your gyno it's also a big plus. You must be feeling that it's is actually going to happen. I was pretty nervous before hand as well - I think we all are but once the preop starts its over before you know it. Then a new chapter begins. Hugs.
