6 Weeks Post Op

I am so happy to say that I am officially 6 weeks post op! This has been quite the ordeal and probably much harder in ways than I had ever imagined it would be. I had a robotic hysterectomy with ovaries removed. I am proud to say after several extremely hard weeks I am feeling 90% better than I was, but still acknowledging the fact that I have a long way to go. I don't feel quite ready to jump into my old routine. I still get tired and achy from time to time. I think my body is still adjusting to the hormone replacement and I'm still trying to mentally wrap my mind around what has just taken place. I will be returning back to work soon so that will be the real test for me. This hystersisters web site has really helped me both pre-op and post-op, it truly has been a blessing! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you hystersisters.

Re: 6 Weeks Post Op

I'm so glad to hear you are feeling so good. I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op and feeling much better, but still know I have to take an easy. I hope going back to work goes smoothly and remember to take it slowly.
