cervix removal after LSH

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone had to have their cervix removed after having a LSH. If you had adeno or fibroids, could they then start growing in the cervix?

My dr said if endometoriosis is in the uterus it is very likely it could of made it in to the cervix.

I am facing removal of my cervix after LSH, and let me tell you I am not looking forward to it.
I had my LSH on 1/25/07 and in February started having mini periods. I had been told it was possible, but didn't really expect it to ever happen to me. I ahd read that they may go away, but mine kept getting worse. So bad that I was messing up my pants-not what I counted on!
So, doc says we can take the cervix. #1, I have to wait until first of the year because I have maxed out benefits for secondary insurance, and have not met deductible on new insurance that started in April.
So I am either going to have to deal with worsening "mini periods" or look into some other alternative. Have been reading some about cauterization, but I am a big baby, and am afraid that it's going to hurt too much!

can you be sedated or put to sleep for the cauterization? i'm sorry youre having this problem

I'm so sorry to hear about all your problems. Having to wait has to be horrible for you.
I didn't hear about mini-periods until after the surgery and it was on this site.
I'm hoping they could sedate you and cauterize the area like dressedupinblue suggested!
