Intense, occasional groin itching

Hi sisters,

For the last 5 weeks, I've noticed that I am having intense, but occasional groin itching. It's the crease where your undies sit down there (between my leg and my girlie bits). It's not vaginal area as I have NO vaginal or labia itching.

I've spoken to my doc about this on both my post op visits and she says there is no sign of an external yeast infection. She told me it is nothing to worry about and told me to put some Premarin cream on it after I use some internally as part of my healing regiment.

Well, nothing is helping. Sometimes the itching is so bad, I feel like I'm going to scratch so hard I'll bleed. I've tried OTC anti-itch cream, but that doesn't always curb the itching. Also the itching is not constant, I can go days without itching and then BOOM, I'm scratching my crotch like a man!

Has anyone out there had the same problem? Any sign of relief?

Thanks!

Have you tried cortisone cream? I find that helps. If the cream is not working, then you need to make an appt. with your family doctor so it can be treated properly.

Hang in there

I had that after one of my deliveries (due to all kinds of antibiotics) It was an external yeast infection. I did not itch on my labia or anything. It was right where my underwear hit.

I used some external yeast infection cream.

Hi ladies,

I've actually tried both yeast infection cream and hydro-cortisone (anti-itch) cream. Neither have really done the trick.

I'm gonna follow up with my doc! Thanks so much!
