Upcoming hysterectomy 5/18: Blood transfusion before surgery?
I had very low blood counts a few months ago & needed a transfusion. Last month my count was low again but not low enough to need a transfusion. My dr says they will test again before surgery to make sure but pre-op is Friday the 15th and surgery is Monday the 18th. Seems like we are cutting it close?

I am sorry you have been dealing with this.
I do not know anything about a transfusion, but would think your doctor knows how close it can be to your surgery.
We do have lots of women on this site. Hopefully one with similar experience will see this post and respond.

My counts where low and they are having me do IV Iron treatments prior to surgery to raise my levels
