Should I use and electric cart ?

I am heading towards my 4 week mark and so far doing as well as can be expected, the Dr allowed me back to work this week a but due to administrative errors I cannot actually go back till next week now, whch suits me fine! Just making all my Christmas cards.

Anyway back to the point, someone has given me tickets to Mickey's Not So scary Halloaween party at Magic Kingdom for tonight and I really want to go, but the thought of walking in amoungst the crowds and kids runnng around scares me ! My DD is prepared to push me in a wheelcahir but I have had that before and she is lethal and that scares me even more !! this is not helped by the fact that I am overweight and I worry about her pushing me. Should I borrow one of those electric wheelchairs ? has anyone else done this ? I am worried I will feel like a fake. All this worry worry worry is putting me of the idea but I REALLY WANT TO GO...... anyones thoughts appreciated

I say use the electric w/c & have fun! You are not a fake...you have a legitimate need to use it.

Should I use and electric cart ?

Use the cart. I needed out of the house so bad after my surgery but had trouble walking for long periods of time. I wanted to go grocery shopping (can't trust the husband and son to do this on their own). I tried to be a martar and walk but ended up having my son fetch me a scooter only about five isles in. I felt stupid at first because I didn't have any visible signs of needed. Not elderly, broken leg, anything like that. Just a bit overweight and I did get looked at a bit but it helped me get through the store and enjoy an evening out with my family. Use the cart!!!! I can't empasize this enough.

Should I use and electric cart ?

Use the cart! Funny that you'd post this dilemma.....I've been planning on doing the very same thing just so I can go to Disneyland before the end of the month to see all the Halloween goodies. I ain't gonna let a little thing like major surgery keep me from seeing my Mickey!
