abdominal binder does it help?

I am 2 weeks post op from TAH. My belly is so sore specially when I walk or any activity. Plus I am overweight and do not have flat belly to begin with. Does the binder support help? I think my DD is sick of seeing me in sweat pants and pj. LOL, I would like to start wearing normal clothes again.

YES IT DOES!!!!! I went back to work to today for 3 hours. Wore it the whole time. It helped me walk upright instead of bent over. I got one when I was in the hospital but it is so wide, I couldn't wear it with clothes. The one I got from this site is great.....Once I got home, I took it off and crashed into bed. Body told me I still need to "pamper the princess".

I wear mine whenever I am out of the house. It helps with the seat belt when driving, and it's so much better than having to "carry" your tummy around. If I stand too long w/out it, my belly starts to ache. The binder has been a godsend! I'm sure I'll be wearing it when I go back to work. I wore mine on top of my clothes. Makes people a little more considerate when I'm out and about.

I am 3 months out and know at the end of the day if I didn't wear it and was on my feet alot. It saved me during holiday shopping. I forgot it one day and within an hour I was miserable. Other days I made it 4-6 hours with some short rests for coffee.
