Anyone have Scar Pictures?

Id really like to see some actual Pictures of scars from a Lap or DaVinci.
I know everyone heals differently...But Id like to have an idea of how my scars might look.
And also the Placement of the Scars- not just a diagram

Does anyone have any they are willing to share?

I can't speak for those scars, but mine (4 of them) from my gallbladder removal in 2000 are really nice looking now. My OB/GYN couldn't see them initially.

Since pictures and links to pictures can't be put into posts per the site Guidelines, I would suggest you do a google search. There are links out there with actual photographs of patient's scars that may help you better visualize it.

Thanks Deb. I have googled it several times & have not come up with any pictures.
I didnt realize Links or Pictures could not be included.

I suppose if someone has them- they can pm for my email & email them to me.

Have you tried to do a google images search instead of a straight google search? You can find it on the top left of the google search page.

I did try an Image search. Still didnt find any actual photos. Got Some Diagrams.
Ill have to keep trying.
Lots of Dr Pictures came up. LOL

Hi Spamee, from what my Dr stated to me today in my pre-op I will only have 4 incisions. 2 on the right, one above the naval and one on the left in a half moon shape going across the upper portion of abdomen. He stated the largest incisiion will be on the left and only the width of a quarter. Most incisions made are less than 1 to 2 inches in width. Hope this helps! I am scheduled June 9th.....wish you a smooth road to the castle!

I had a LAVH on May 8th. I don't have any pictures but can tell you where they are. I have three. The biggest on is right on the inside of my belly button. Two and a half weeks out you can hardly see it. The other two are lower on each side and honestly they aren't as big as an eraser on a pencil. They are also very light.

I had emailed my Dr some questions...Including my Incision sizes.
Got my Reply today.
This is what he saidne 5 mm, two 8 mm, one 11mm, and one 12 mm.
Ugh- At 1st I thought it was only 4 incisions. I see one is two. ( so it is 5 incisions)
I shouldnt worry about the scars.
But my breast reconstruction- is one of the worst out there.
And I really dont want to feel any uglier then I do now.
