Traveling in a little over 1 week! Advice!

Hello Sisters,

I am traveling to the carribean next Thursday morning. I will be almost 3 weeks post op. Should I bring my own pillow with me to the airport? Do you all think I should get wheelchair assistance through the airport? Just kind of wandering this so that I'm not over doing things before we get there. It's my 10 yr anniversary trip so it couldn't be rescheduled. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks,
InandOut

Re: Traveling in a little over 1 week! Advice!

I would bring whatever you have been using at home for traveling. I hope you got your doctor's clearance for this trip.

I traveled by car 9 hours 1 week post op with doc's approval. I was tired but did fine on the trip.

Have a great Anniversary.

Airports are huge. Have you been walkng miles to compare? If not, I'd use the wheelchair so you don't spend your special trip recovering. Do you use a pillow for car trips? If not I'd skip it. But they make inflatable travel pillows you could bring in case you want one, but not take up all your space. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks ladies for the advice. Haven't done my normal 4.5 walk and run since the surgery! LOL! So I think I will use the wheelchair assistance. How soon post-op did you ladies start driving?

Thx
