Feeling Like You Have to Pee

Has anyone ever felt like you had to pee during sex after your hysterectomy? The thing about it is, I don't actually have to pee. It's making it a little hard for my husband and I to resume our normal sex life. (It's been 3 months since my abdominal hysterectomy).
Does the bladder get closer to the vaginal cuff after surgery or something? Thank you for your valuable input...I love this site!

Re: Feeling Like You Have to Pee

I had this problem before my hysterectomy. My bladder had dropped and was in need of a lift. I had a bladder suspension at the same time as my hysterectomy. My doctor told me that if I didn't have it done at the same time that eventually I would need to. He also said that after a hysterectomy your bladder can drop and the need to pee becomes worse. Maybe this has happened to you and you are in need of a lift. Do you find that when you cough, sneeze or laugh you pee a bit? If so then you should talk to your doc. From what I understand your bladder sits just under your uterus and that is what holds in in place. So with no uterus there is nothing to hold it up. I'm no doctor but this is the experience that I dealt with. I hope this is of some help to you and I wish you luck. I hope you can resume a happy healthy sex life soon! I know I am as I'm only 3 weeks post-op.
