I did something wrong
I am in my fourth week post op - vaginal hysterectomy leaving the ovaries.
Last night, I bent over to look for something in our bottom kitchen cupboard and I don't know what I did, but I got a huge pain in my right side and then it started cramping. It is still sore today and I now again, have some pinkish, red tinged bleeding that in the last few days had been replaced first with dark brown (old blood) and then a beigy color discharge.
Does this mean that I just gave myself scar tissue inside???? Am I starting all over with the bleeding stuff or with the sore right side and blood go away soon?
Thanks for any help that can be shed on this.
Rachelle

Hi,
You might have pulled some tender tissue inside. If the bleeding doesn't stop or gets worse, or you are in pain, then give dr a call.
I would put feet up and rest and see how things go.
I hope you feel better and that there is probably nothing that is serious to worry about.
I think we can get scar tissue no matter what we do and anytime there is surgery there is going to be some. You might ask dr about scar tissue concerns.
Let us know how you do.

Rachelle,
I agree with Suzy, take it easy relax and listen to your body.
If things persist give your Doc a call.

I did something wrong
Right around 3-4 weeks post op I had a sneezing fit. In the course of all that sneezing, I let loose a self-dissolving stitch a few days early, and set in motion for a hematoma to drain. My doc told me to rest with feet up as much as possible, and to keep aware of the drainage. He said if I had a spike in fever, significant pain (cramping) or fresh red blood to call him immediately.
It was no fun having to go back to bed for a couple of days. But it was definitely the best course of action while I kept tabs on what was happening.
You may feel better assurance by just giving the doc's office a call and speaking with the nurse. For one thing, it lets them document when and how things started in case there is further development. Secondly, they can tell you what they want you to do, or if they need you to come in to be checked. Better safe than sorry.
Hope you feel better soon!
