fibroids/ovarian cancer

I have been diagnosed with fibroids some time ago, have bloating
bladder/bowel pressure, and fatigue at times is very prominent...
the other day I went to a trip to the doctors with my mom and read a brochere on ' OVARIAN CANCER" needless to say it scared me because alot of the symptoms are similar to fibroid symptoms,
I guess my question is How do you know the difference? of course they can ' Feel the fibroids" when they examine you but how do they know you don't have ovarian cancer as well, on my ultrsound it said ovaries look normal in appearance. appreciate any and all comments.. Thanks

I know, it seems like the symptoms for everything are so similar...it can be so worrisome! I am sure, though, that if your ovaries look normal on the ultrasound, then you are clean. The dr would have discussed it with you if s/he was concerned. I am sure you will feel much more at ease after the surgery, when you know that the dr has seen everything under bright light! If there is any question about their health at all, they can send for a biopsy.

Princesses keep saying, the waiting is the hardest part!
Lots of hugs,
akita
