Gas Pains

I'm officially on my 2nd week of recovery! Yippee! All is well, except for these gas pains and a nagging cough. My recovery has been easy except for that. I sleep in shifts. The gas pains come at like a tons bricks and the coughing is just annoying. Anyone else have these same issues. What can I do? I've walked, taken gas x and drinking cough syrup like soda!

I'm having lots of gas in the form of belching. My Dr said she had never had anyone else say that that had happened to them. Her best guess was that my GI system is still very sluggish from the pain meds.

I have a sinus infection right now. After my surgery I was given a spirometer and told to use it very often to prevent the possibility of pneumonia. Maybe you could ask your Dr for one? Or the hospital where you had your surgery?

Thanks! I have one, which I forget to use. I guess I should make a reminder for that. Hope your recovery is going well!
