18 months later and a yeast infection

I've been battling a yeast infection for just over 9 days now! This is driving me insane!!

I used the internal monistat on July 25th followed by the external cream until I went to a pharmacist on Friday and she suggested oral canesten and the cream.

Is this usual post hysterectomy?!

Is it the folds in the cuff that make it harder to treat? I've only had one yeast infection before and it was super simple to deal with.

My whole groin feels heavy and hurts, I've cut back on sugar and coffee and started taking a extra strength probiotic mixture.

Well.... you're over a year post-surgery, so I really doubt that the yeast infection is related to your hysterectomy.

I have had a few yeast infections over the years -- and the most helpful thing I ever did for myself was change to cotton-crotch panties. Can you believe that some brands still haven't figured this out and have nylon crotches???? ACK.

It could be changes in your diet, or just something causing your system to be out of whack.

Have you seen your yet for this? If it has been several years since your last yeast infection, it might be worth a visit, just to test and make sure it's a run-of-the-mill infection and not something more serious.
