Surgery tomorrow

Hi everyone

Lavh tomorrow afternoon. I am feeling a little headachy and weak from the fasting but overall I feel peaceful and surrounded by so much good spiritual energy coming my way from friends and family. I am a little nervous about only being left with one ovary and wonder if I will need hormones or if one will produce enough. Any thoughts?

Re: Surgery tomorrow

Good luck tomorrow Peace! I'm glad you're in a good place tonight and not too stressed. You will likely produce enough hormones with one ovary. Keep in mind that the blood supply to the ovaries is disrupted during surgery and can take some time to re-establish (or for the ovaries to "wake up"). I was emotional post op until things kicked in again. Talk to your doctor when you see him/her before your surgery. That should set your mind at ease. I wish you an eventful surgery and recovery :-)

Re: Surgery tomorrow

Best wishes for you tomorrow . I am 4.5 weeks post op. I have one ovary, swore I was having hot flashes in the hospital but the nurse said it was warm in there...plus they had a weird sheet on my bed, it was cotton down the sides but had a plastic strip down the middle. Apparently it's to help slide elderly and larger patients up the bed. It made my back sweat lol. I was also very emotional in the hospital. Crying for no reason, well I had reason but for things I wouldn't normally cry over.

I now feel fine, I don't feel so far that just having one has affected me.
