Below the waist

I went to lay down last night about 7:00 reading magazines because I was so tired and my lower back hurt, my stomach area felt uncomfortable, but worse thing lately is my knees, ankles, and feet really hurting. I'm not on my feet any more than any other time but lately this is a real problem. I toss and turn all night because of this and woke up this morning feeling like I did when I went to bed.

What's going on with the knees, feet and ankles? Is this part of it or should I be asking the doctors to check this out too? I'm 51 but some days I just feel like I'm falling apart.

Decotres,

I hear you on joint pain. I had some before surgery and I still have some in post surgery. I think it is some arthritis kicking in.

I would maybe check with your Dr. A Hyster Sister on a recent forum suggested Omega-3 for joint pain. I still haven't checked it out.

However, I know in pre-op, a Dr. wants to monitior any herbal and vitamin supplements. So...please ask your Dr.

For a temporary fix, I use the icy hot patches. Put them on before bed. Seem to work. I try to exercise the areas also. Especially before I get out of bed. I kinda rotate everything around to get the "old bod" started. I am 46 and boy...my body sometimes does not feel 26. I work out and eat right too and it just catches up, I guess.

Good Luck. We can be "old croneys" together or I would rather say, "Divine Princesses" with aches and pains!!

I like that! I'll join you there.

I have a bit of arthritis in my lower back. When it flares up it sometimes causes pain to shoot down my legs - sometimes all the way to my feet.

A talk with your dr about it does sound like a good idea. He/she does need to be aware of what is going on with you.

Best wishes, I hope that you get relief soon.
