I am 5 weeks post surgery and I am having pain and light spotting. Is this normal? When should I be concerned?

Yes this is completely normal, I am almost 6 weeks post op and I still have very light spotting. I was told it's only concerning if it's bright red and soaks a pad in an hour. I also get intermittent pains which could also be other things like intestinal pains.

Thanks- the pain I am having is pretty steady. I went in to doctor when I started spotting and he put silver nitrate on my vaginal cuff.
