14 days post op tah bso feeling great

Hi,
First post after much skulking about the forums and peeking at information. My main question so far is that I feel incredibly good, so what is wrong with me? hahaha My surgery was early morn Jan 14th 2013- I woke up feeling great (had the TAP abdominal shots) so pain free for a while. A few hours later I got up and did the triangle shuffle-bed to guest chair to hookups to bed several times- and was busted by the nurse. She thought (wisely that if I wanted to do it I should) so I continued on and off for a while. Felt the normal gas pains, had the catheter removed, was unhooked from I.V. etc. started walking the hall. Was ready to go the next morning doctor surprised but agreed. Since then besides the pain I am supposed to have, I am feeling pretty great. walking a mile (easy) on the treadmill, driving with no pain since Sunday the 20th, shopping , cooking, etc. I do not lnow how to tell if I am doing any internal damage since I feel so good- ???
Thanks for any insight or commentary from those who have felt this way too.

Kenye, congrats on a successful recovery so far. I am 10 days post op and I feel great too. I consider myself very very lucky and I am so grateful to God for his mercy. I still honor the restrictions and rest for most of the day to give my insides the best opportunity to heal. I am not driving or anything because my doctor said only in an emergency. I hope she clears my at my 2 wk appointment.
I have been walking too, without any sign of fatigue.
I did dance today to Carly Rae Jensen's Call Me Maybe. That was fun!!!

I am feeling great too.. We are so lucky! I can't belive you were cleared to drive so soon after surgery! It's not just about being off the narcs but the possibility of having to stop or swerve suddenly and being jerked into your steering wheel ..
The only thing about feeling good so soon ... Is that you forget you are still healing on the inside .. And tend to do more than you should.

I love hearing such encouraging recovery stories. Praise our Healing Father! I too have been experiencing great healing. I have been patient in my good feeling to let my insides heal. I went for my first outside walk and did some stairs. It felt good! I will continue to monitor my exercise and push my step further each day.
