Post op headaches

hey ms shell,
i got them bad while i was in the hospital, for a few days. then they got better and now i get them every now and then, tho not real bad.. i asked DR what he thought it was from, and main reason could be hormonal.. 2nd b/c of anemia... not fun are they ? are yours real bad ? this may sound weird but vicks vapor rub makes my headaches feel better sometimes, if you just smell it , or rub it onder your nose it may be worth a try,, also a hot or cold face cloth across your eyes feels so good... hoping you feel better soon...

Post op headaches

I started getting 2-3 migraines per week post op compared to my usual 2 per month. I kept my ovaries, but they did go into a little shock after surgery. I was also having hot flashes, insomnia etc. By the time I got in to see my Dr. (about 10 weeks post-op) they were a bit better. She did labwork and checked hormone levels etc and all was fine. My headaches were back to the usual pattern of 2 a month by 3 months post op. I think it was the hormone fluctuations after surgery. Hope you find relief soon!

Post op headaches

I had excruciating headaches for a couple of weeks post-op. I think it had something to do with hormones since I had bso. Maybe it had something to do with anesthesia. But, they went away. I can't remember exactly when, but I know after 4 weeks I was no longer having them.

I never had any real problems with headaches before surgery.

Good luck to you!
