Has anyone had a hysterectomy for adhesions and has it helped?

Still trying to navigate my way through These forums. I hope this is the right one to post. surgery LAVH is scheduled for January 15, for pelvic pain and constant adhesions from previous abdominal surgery. My question is has anyone else ever had a hysterectomy for adhesions and has it helped? I constantly feel bloated, and lately have felt nauseous almost daily. I can feel the constant pulling and tugging sensation.
I've had multiple D&C's for miscarriages, a tubal ligation, c section and my right ovary removed and gallbladder surgery.
I just want this to be over and not feel like this

Hi Lisamurray to HysterSisters!

You are posting in the correct forum, which is for sisters who are preparing for their hysterectomy.

I wish I could answer your question, but I cannot. We do have lots of women on this site. Hopefully one of them with similar experience will see this post and respond. In the meantime here are some links from our story pages from women who reported they had adhesions:

TAH/BSO/cysts/adhesions 7/12/12
TAH/BSO - My story of Endometriosis/Adhesions

I hope these help.

Hi Lisa,
I am 3 weeks post opp as of today and I had a TAH with ovary and cervix removal. They also went in to get adhesions from past surgeries. I was having issues with pain on my bowels as well as my right side and ever since this surgery I haven't had any pain! I'm feeling wonderful and glad it was done. Good luck on your upcoming surgery!!

Yes it was. He knew I had adhesions so wanted to reopen me up through the abdomen once more to get everything. It was a great decision as once they went in they found quite a mess so I'm glad they did it that way. I know your nervous honestly it's way better once you've reached the other side!! I was anxious as well but the surgery went beautifully and I wasn't in as much pain as I was expecting.
