gross, odd discharge question

I am sorry, this is a little embarrassing and gross. I am five weeks post op and have stopped bleeding. However, since last week something weird has been happening. I won't have any type of discharge during the day but it seems to build up during the night and then when I get up in the morining it just falls right out of me. If I were to measure it, it would probably by about a tablespoon of it. It is a milky like very light brownish discharge. It doesn't happen anymore after that and it happens again the next morning. It is really gross to because I get up and walk into the kitchen and then feel it just run out. Really nasty and unfresh feeling!

gross, odd discharge question

I am sorry I don't have an answser for you, but I am interested in what others have to say. You and I are only 2 days apart and I haven't had any discharge for quite awhile. Some say it comes back when the stitches dissolve and are coming out. Maybe it's that?

gross, odd discharge question

You don't say what type of hysterectomy you had, but with a vaginal hyster a discharge is normal for up to 6 - 8 weeks. I had a discharge, but not the amount you had or as regular as you describe.
I would suggest that you discuss it with your doctor at the 6 week check up.

Dont stress mjm33, it is quite normal, i was doing that until about a week ago. I almost felt like i had wee'd myself a little bit, but i wasnt it was discharge. It may be different for you but my Dr told me it pools in your vagina over night (just coz your asleep doesnt mean your body is) and is released when gravity lets it flow.... hope this helps
