SAH Severe back pain! 4 days post op

My Doc will not release me until I have passed gas. I have taken a total of 6 Senatokes and a suppository. Nothing seems to be happening except my back is killing me. I continue to walk & walk but again nothing. I also tried heat on my back. I am totally exhausted!

I drank some coffee or tea or gingerale to get things going and finally it worked on 3rd morning after two suppositories. Eat something more. Not sure about the back pain, ask doc. Hang in there!

I have been having serious lower back pain when I am on my feet for too long! I do have several lower back issues...but have never felt this level of pain before. I think it's also because I have been walking "funny" since my surgery. The hospital bed does NOT help...and neither did the long ride home over New England's pot-holed roads in my son's jacked up, clunky diesel truck! I have also heard that it can also be the position they had you in on the operating table. So there are a number of reasons for the pain. I take it as my signal that I need to park it in my recliner for a while! Can you ask for some type of heat treatment for your lower back? That might help get your bowels moving as well. Good luck!

Finally able to pass some gas after taking another suppository. I was able to pass some gas & it relieved some pressure. I can finally go home & be more comfortable.
