No Surgery
Hi, why don't you ask for a referral to a surgeon that can take the ovaries vaginally? It is done regularly. Why suffer? The surgeon follows the tubes from the uterus to the ovaries like a path. Also, from what I've read in this forum, women with endometriosis seem to quite often need additional repairs besides the basic hysterectomy. Maybe your DR didn't write up the surgery request urgently or descriptively enough. It makes a difference how the DR presents the need to the insurance co. Have you had the other scans that would reveal endo. involving your inner workings? Maybe there's justification there that hasn't been brought to the attention of the ins. co.
Do I sound like an advocate or what! It comes from having a daughter with a learning disability. All of those years of getting her what she needs has made me scrappy! Good luck with it all, Barbara
