Got my hysterectomy date and now the nervousness has set in
How crazy is this? I got a call today with two date options and I picked the sooner of the two. And now I am feeling nervous. I've got 5 weeks.

Just went through with mine in Monday. Came home today. Pain it's less then period cramps. Hang in there it will be ok.

I have also received my date, August 25 and I am slightly nervous. I have had 4 total surgeries where they put me out, so I am not worried about that. I am worried about any hormonal changes that might occur, and to be honest, sex.
I'm sure we will all come through fine, and feel silly for worrying so much.

I share your concerns about how sex will be after. Friends of mine that have gone through this said it is better, esp with no periods.

You will do great! I am 31 and just had a total hysterectomy on June 30 2014. It was by far the best decision I ever made.
