Fibroid Olympics!

Okay so I am 3 weeks out from post op and I am getting extremely bored and have major cabin fever. I'm tired of the three R's.......reading,resting and relaxing! So now I am just curious about this..... es.

If you have received your pathology report from your dr.....you will know this information....or if you have a really good memory (which I don't) you will know the weight of your uterus and the size of your largest fibroid.

For me......

Weight of uterus - 1448grams

Largest fibroid size - 7"x5"x5" (football)

Haha! Love the thread... I am curious too how big things were for others... so this is great!

My surgeon left me a voicemail telling me part of the pathology repost. My uterus weighed 8 pounds! I had fibroids that I don't know their exact size from the pathology report, but will find out when I have my post-op appointment in 2 1/2 weeks. The u/s said the largest was tangerine size... but who knows how accurate that is.

That puts the weight of yours at 3629 grams. I can't even begin to imagine how uncomfortable you must have been pre-op.

Thanks, blueinukshuk1! It's crazy, isn't it? I'm thinking your football sized fibroid has you as a major contender for the Gold yourself!

How lucky are we not to have those enormous things inside our bodies now?! I'm so happy it's gone.

I know what you mean. When I think back to just the constant fatigue. I slept more than my cats! .....and if I wasn't sleeping I was having to pee every hour or more. Such a blessing to be finished with all that.
