This community is the absolute best!
How long did you stay in the hospital and what kind of incision do you have? We had our surgeries 3 days apart. I have an 8" vertical incision and was in hospital for 4 days & 4 nights. Had my 6 week post op appointment this week and I feel so much better than I did on July 15th. Just wanted to drop in to your thread to not only say hello but to also wish you a speedy recovery.

Casey, if it wasn't for this site, my poor doctor would've heard from me a lot more! There's just no way for one doctor to cover all the things, normal and not, that result from this surgery. Thank God for HysterSisters!

AMEN, I couldn't agree more. I just LOVE this place and all of the wonderful women that make up this community.

I was in the hospital for 4 days. I have an incision about 10 inches long. The funny thing about the hospital is I don't remember anything. The morphine really did a number on me. I don't remember visitors or anything. I go back to work next week. Biggest problem I'm having is not sleeping and terrible hot flashes. My bed feels like I'm in a bath tub most of the time. I keep 4 shirts next to my bed and use them every night. Oh the joys of being a woman!!!

Awesome! The site works so well because women can come here and find support for their concerns from the wonderful members who are so caring and helpful. The circle of support continues as those who have been helped then begin to reply on the threads of others, sharing what they have learned from their experience!
