MRI for Adenomyosis

I would suggest the MRI. I did it because of my Dr's. recommendation. She told me that they can tell how much it has grown its kind of a staging thing. Somehow they can tell how far into the lining it is and they can tell if it metasized.

Lucky for me I'm in the earliest stages and they couldn't even pick it up on the MRI. What a relief just knowing.

Good Luck in your decision.

MRI for Adenomyosis

I'm thinking that if they DON'T pick anything up on an MRI, I wouldn't have the surgery.

Like I said, I can deal with the bleeding, I can't deal with the back pain. If I'm going to go through this, I as least want guaranteed relief from that!!

Re: MRI for Adenomyosis

To the ladies that had MRI, were you menstruating when you had the scan done? I'm trying to find out if you can still detect adenomyosis via MRI even if you are not currently having a period? Thanks
