Lotsa Questions.....
Hello Ladies! Tomarrow will be my 5week anniversary from a TAH, boy has it been a long journey!! Been to soooo many doctors and thru sooo many procedures to get to where I am now. Long story short...my overall answer to my problems were that i had endometreosis inside my uterus, behind my left ovary and lower part of my bladder....anyways after reading everyone's posts day in and day out, we all sure have A LOT in common no matter what age.....If anyone has ANY advice or answers for me it would be greatly appreciated, so here it goes:
1) Yes i too have experienced pain just below the belly button.....what in the world is that?
2) Yes i too have tried takin a spin as far as master****...worked so far (thankgod!)
3) Anyone else feel like there is a brillo pad inside of our bellies? especially at night? oh and what about those darn spasms?!
AND last but not least.....
4) What about this swelly belly? is there any true way to get rid of it????
And i sure can't think of the rest of my bazillion questions, my mind sure isn't what it used to be.
Thanks for listening/reading.....We are all in this together in way or another..... I am a 28-soon to be 29 year old that has found this site AWESOME!!!! nobody else can relate as much as all of u!!!
THANKS HYSTERSISTERS for being there and sharing all of your experiences.

Lotsa Questions.....
I can't be very helpful, but here goes....
I don't feel a Brillo pad in my belly - mine feels more like a videotape! It is showing no sign of going away, so I'm heading out to buy more waist-high granny panties. (Tired of re-washing the 3 pairs I bought before my hyst.) What the heck, they're only 88 cents at WalMart. I'm also shopping for casual dresses with loose waists to wear when hot weather arrives here any day now. None of my shorts or skirts fit. Well, most of them fit when I'm standing, but hurt when I sit.
I love this website too! ....and I have read here dozens of times that it may take up to a year to heal completely, including swelly belly. So I am trying to be patient.
Good luck!
Merrie

Lotsa Questions.....
Swelly belly likes to hang around. We have the same surgery dates and mine still swells horribly by the afternoon. I was also told it can take up to a year. We all have different healing rates but doc says the swelling is basically due to having your muscles and ligaments and skin stretched, cut, thrown aside, poked at, pinched and thrown back together. Having lost most of the muscle tone in the abs from this procedure, it makes sense -- at least to me
My pain is above the belly button like I took a hit from Mike Tyson and does turn black and blue if bumped. Brillo pad? Can't help you there. This is a great sight, as you both stated so maybe someone else can add input
Good Luck

Oh those spasms!! Feels like I'm pregnant again sometimes. Mine seem to be almost gone but at first were a constant concern.

We have the same surgery date and i have alot of the symptoms that you do. I still have swelly belly and above my incision is numb, you could stick a pin in it and i wouldn't feel it, but right below my belly button it hurts to touch it. Dr released me today said everything looks good. I still wonder why it still hurts so much. I guess it just takes time. Dr told me all this is normal, guess i just need to stop worrying so much.
